中国MV创始人——王国平

上世纪八十年代中期，在未受海外MV影响的前提下，王国平自发率先创立中国MV电视新样式。
1986年秋导演的MV集《金色的旋律》荣获全国一等奖第一名，被媒体称为“中国MV的开山之作”。此后，王国平对MV一发不可收，拍摄了一系列不同风格、不同题材的MV共三百多部，开创了中国MV许多“第一”纪录。
1992年，受上海市委宣传部之邀拍摄“雀巢咖啡流行歌曲征集活动”七部评选歌曲MV，轰动上海。1992年3月26日，中央电视台开办的第一个MV栏目《东西南北中》播放的第一部MV即是王国平导演的《青春寄语》，王国平还作为中国第一位MV导演接受采访，有媒体称“王国平宣告了中国MV的诞生”。
1993年，在首届“中国MTV大赛”上，王国平作品占全部参赛数量五分之一多，最终荣获二个金奖，一个铜奖和最佳摄影奖，成为获奖最多的导演。其后四连冠，共夺六个金奖和其他奖项，创造了获奖奇迹，被称为“金牌导演”。
王国平还曾担任中央电视台春节晚会MV总导演，全国八运会MV总导演等，其代表作《我爱五指山，我爱万泉河》、《又见茉莉花》、《轮椅上的梦》、《路边童谣》、《东西南北兵》、《万事如意》等已成为中国MV的经典作品，至今共获一百多项中外MV大奖，成为目前中国作品最多，获奖最多，影响最大的MV导演，瑞士第35届金玫瑰电视节破例为王国平举办了个人研讨会。
目前，王国平还担任上海音乐学院兼职教授，主讲《中国MV美学与制作》，已出版MV专著和画册及DVD十余种。王国平已成为中国第一位MV理论家和教育家。

Initiator of Chinese MV

In the mid-1980s, Wang Guoping initiated the new art form of MV in China without any overseas influence.
In autumn 1986, he directed a MV called "Golden Melody" which won him the first prize in a national competition and was applauded by the media as "a pioneering masterpiece of Chinese MV." He subsequently shot over 300 MVs of different styles and themes, setting many new records as the nation’s "first."
In 1992, under the auspices of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Committee, he produced seven MVs for the "Nescafe Popular Song Selection Event", which made a stir in Shanghai. On March 26, 1992, Wang Guoping’s “Wishes for the Youth” became the first MV piece aired by CCTV in its first ever regular MV program. As China’s first MV director, Wang Guoping was interviewed by the media, which praised him as having “declared the birth of Chinese MV.”
In 1993, in the first “Chinese MTV Contest,” Wang Guoping’s works made up one-fifth of the total entries, winning him the largest number of awards on that occasion including two gold and one bronze medals and the Best Photography. He went on to become a four-time winner with a total of six gold awards, a miraculous record that earned him the fame as the "Gold Medal Director.” Wang Guoping has also acted as Chief MV Director for the Spring Festival Evening Show of CCTV and for the Eighth National Games. Among his better known works, “I Love the Wuzhi Mountain, I Love the Wanquan River,” “To See Jasmine Again,” “Dream on A Wheelchair,” “Nursery Rhymes at the Roadside,” “South and North, East and West,” and “Wish You All the Best” have become classics of Chinese MV. So far he has won more than one hundred Chinese and foreign MV Awards. Being the director with the most works and the most awards in China, he has made a significant impact on the Chinese MV industry. The 35th Gold Rose TV Festival of Switzerland had a special symposium on his works. Wang Guoping is currently a guest professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music where he lectures on "The Aesthetics and Production of Chinese MV". He has published monographs as well as photo albums and has produced more than ten DVDs. He is the first Chinese theorist and educator on the MV subject.
